South Canterbury Primary Produce Innovation Cluster (PPIC)
A cluster of businesses joined by a common drive, the PPIC's purpose is the enhancement, development and support of primary production adding innovation and value to the chain. This is a wide brief that has led to a number of specific initiatives ranging from the food & beverage sector, to the biotech market. The cluster provides the platform for businesses to share information and works collectively to deal with the barriers to growth, and provide guidance for new ventures. A current focus is on overcoming medium and long-term skill shortages in primary and manufacturing sectors.
The cluster is facilitated by the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce.
