TIMARU TAP & JAZZ DANCE FESTIVAL

Location: TGHS Hall - Entries being taken until 4th August 2014 - class offered are Tap-Jazz-Hip Hop-Lyrical-Contemporary-Solo-Troupes-Crews-Broadway email for Syllabus and registration forms

 The event attracts competitors from throughout NZ with classes in Jazz-Tap-Hip Hop including Song & Dance, Broadway and much more. Adjudicator is Sarah-Lawson Washington of 8Count Dance Studio, Auckland. Second Adjudicator will be appointed if required. 

Ages available to compete are from pre-school through to Adults.  Anyone is welcome to enter, just check the rules for music time limits and suitability of age appropriate music for younger children.

MEL PARSONS
Well recognised as one of New Zealand's songwriting stars. Following the success of her debut record 'Over My Shoulder' in 2009, the kiwi singer/songwriter and two time Tui-award finalist for Folk Album of the Year recently released her sophomore album 'Red Grey Blue' to widespread critical acclaim. "'One of New Zealands finest releases"- Waikato Times.
GERRY PAUL
Gerry has spent the past year living in Berlin and the thirteen years previous living in Ireland , playing and touring with the Irish band, that he co-founded in 2001.
JAMES NOKISE
New Zealand's favourite (and only) Samoan/Welsh stand-up comic, James Nokise is the first Pacific Islander to work full-time on the United Kingdom stand-up comedy circuit.
With over four years on the UK pro circuit under his belt, and twice nominated for New Zealand's top comedy award, Nokise is also a veteran of five Edinburgh Fringe festivals. Since then he has risen to be one of the top comedians in New Zealand, performing hugely successful one hour solo shows in six New Zealand International Comedy festivals.
