Barker’s of Geraldine is a Kiwi success story. We’ve been providing tasty treats to New Zealand and the world since 1969, and invite you to visit our shop in Geraldine to sample our range of fruit juice syrups, preserves, chutneys and sauces. You can even purchase one of our famous fruit smoothies or sundaes and select a gift from our range of gift baskets and boxes. Visiting the Barker’s Shop in Geraldine is a must – last year around 70,000 visitors did just that!

We’ve long been a champion of the New Zealand grower, using local fruit wherever possible and products that do so now boast a “100% Homegrown New Zealand Fruit” label.

It all started in a converted cowshed on a corner of the family farm. Barker’s was founded on Anthony Barker’s innovation and a constant desire to produce quality products. The original values behind the company his father founded are still very much in evidence, but Michael Barker has taken the company in new directions that are light years away from the original cottage industry.
Today Barker’s vibrant new labels are a stand-out on supermarket shelves. They produce 47 retail products including Kiwi favourites raspberry and boysenberry jam; lemon curd; tamarillo & plum chutney; blackcurrant & red onion jelly and their original blackcurrant syrup, with over 700 squeezed South Canterbury berries in every bottle. Barker’s New Zealand blackcurrant syrup is the market leader in both quality and quantity.
