Business Mentor Scheme

Aoraki Development Business and Tourism facilitates the Business Mentor scheme for South Canterbury NZ businesses. The Business Mentors New Zealand programme draws on the skills and experience of business people from a diverse range of fields including:

  • sales and marketing
  • general management
  • finance and accounting
  • administration
  • manufacturing, production and distribution
  • human resources
  • legal
  • international trade and export
  • information technology, and
  • not-for-profit experience
Mentors have a genuine desire to make a difference to your business – they volunteer their time and are committed to sharing their skills, knowledge and experience.

Over 1600 volunteer mentors are available nationwide, with a high level of business skill and experience. Mentors are proven successful business people who are vetted and reference checked before being accepted into the mentoring service. The privacy and confidentiality of mentoring clients and their businesses is paramount and all mentors must sign a Mentor Commitment Contract. Mentoring is on a one-to-one basis and the service is confidential and provided to small businesses that have been trading for at least 12 months and employ less than 25 employees.
