Central South Island Tourism is one of 28 Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) throughout New Zealand. We are responsible for marketing the Timaru District to domestic and international visitors. Central South Island Tourism also operates the Timaru and Geraldine Information Centres, facilitates regional events and can assist with meeting, conference and incentive enquires. We work closely with other RTOs, Tourism New Zealand and the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand and are dedicated to developing and maintaining strong working relationships with wholesalers, inbound operators, industry members and media representatives. We are funded by the Timaru District Council and overseen by a Board of Directors made up of prominent local business people.

Operating Hours 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday 10.00am-3.00pm Weekends & Public Holidays The Visitor Centre is centrally located the in heart of Timaru, in the Landing Service Building.
