Mt Peel Mountain Bike Marathon Sunday, 6 April 2008  [ Starts 7.30am ]
Mt Peel Marathon is legendary amongst New Zealand´s mountainbiking community. It is a once in a year chance to ride this tough 85km course that circumnavigates Mt Peel in South Canterbury. Described by the Kellett mountain bike bible as the toughest one day MTB ride in the country. It requries good technical skills, some porterage and good fitness levels. It is a big challenge but a greatly rewarding experience.

4WD Excurision Sunday, 13 April 2008  [ 7.30am ]
A fundraiser 4WD Excursion to support the local Anglican church Youth Worker. Will depart from St Michaels church Waihao Downs after registraition starting at 7.30 am THIS IS OPEN TO ANY ONE WITH A HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE.
The cost will be $50.00 per vehicle, so make it a family day. Diesel vehicles will require a spark arrestor which may be purchased on the day at approx $5.00.
We will travel over some well known high country stations with interesting country and good views, stop for photo opportunities, arriving back approx 5.00pm. Bring lunch and drinks and NO DOGS. Finish with a sausage sizzle cooked by the Waihao Youth Group.
Indications of interest would be appreciated for catering purposes. In the event of a cancellation listen to Port FM, Timaru, frequency 97.9 or Oamaru freq. 100 from 7.30am on the day.

Sport SC Holiday Programme Wednesday, 30 April 2008  [ 1pm-3pm ]
Sport South Canterbury is holding a holiday programme for two afternoons in Waimate. This is open to children aged 5-13 years old. The cost is $6 per session and has a family discount - more than 2 children $12 max per session.
