Sport South Canterbury is holding a holiday programme for two mornings in Fairlie. This is open to children aged 5-13 years old. The cost is $6 per session and has a family discount - more than 2 children $12 max per session.

Solid Energy Ensemble of Southern Opera’s inaugural tour – Timaru, Christchurch & Greymouth. The Solid Energy Ensemble is a sensational new elite choral group consisting of 15 carefully selected singers from the Christchurch region.

South Canterbury Secondary Schools Speech Contest Thursday, 22 May 2008  [ 1.30pm ]
This is the 8th annual speech contest for year 11, 12, & 13 pupils of the 10 secondary schools in South Canterbury. The topic this year is "World Poverty. Out of sight....out of mind?" The prizes are cash - 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100. All schools Heads of English have been provided with a full resource pack. The contest is presented to a live audience, and all members of the public are most welcome to attend. An entertaining and enjoyable afternoon is assured. Afternoon tea is provided.
